What Are The Best Massage Therapy Techniques?

Friday, March 26th, 2010

Massage therapy techniques come in many different forms and hundreds of different packages. Some have a medical purpose, some have a stress relief purpose, and some have a more spiritual purpose. If you are looking to get a massage, what kind should you get? What is right for you, and how will you know if you do not understand some of the biggest massage principles?

Acupressure is a great catch-all for medical massages. If you have some form of health issue and it is giving you a lot of pain or discomfort, this could be the one for you. It is a Chinese practice directly related to acupuncture. Only here, the pressure points are rubbed instead of stuck with a needle. These points are believed to be the center of all the body. By manipulating them, you can help control your health.

Barefoot massages are a unique luxury and can be very helpful to people who have very physical jobs. The more physical the job, the deeper the tension goes into your muscles. One of the best ways to get the tension out is to lay down while a therapist stands on your back and walks along your muscles. It is usually just a back massaging technique, since few muscles are strong enough to need (or to bear) the weight of a person. It can be dangerous if not done right, but when it is done well, the feet can work wonders for soreness.

Deep tissue massages are one step more intense than the barefoot massage. This massage therapy is for people who have been injured or who have very high levels of tension. The goal is to work on the muscles deep down, under the first layer of muscle. These are very rarely worked upon, which means that they could be sore after. If you are a more delicate person, you may find this to be painful.

Postural integration involves movement from both parties and a lot of therapeutic emotional work. It is primarily a deep tissue massage, but the patient moves arms and legs in long gestures and does several different exercises for emotional health. These exercises depend on the therapist.

Reflexology massages are strictly for hands and feet. They get little enough good treatment when one considers how often they are really used. They are carefully rubbed down and the few muscles in these appendages are fully loosened. There is also the spiritual belief that your internal organs are directly connected to your hands and feet, making a massage on the outside also be a massage on the inside.

The stone massage is the least intense of all of these. It has more for your own personal relaxation and some mild stress relief. It can feel very good, especially if the weather is cold out. Carefully selected stones are heated up in water to a certain temperature. They are set on your body at crucial muscle points so you muscles ease.

Swedish massages are the last of the major ones. While most of the others involve just rubbing the muscles, the Swedes believe that muscles need more kinds of action. They vibrate and jab the muscles, create friction for them, and then ease it by sweeping the hands over them. It will be a standard massage in a very different way. Most of these massages can be combined with one another to form their own special type. You should learn what your body wants from you.

Whether you need a body slide massage Toronto for medical, stress relief, or spiritual purposes, our effective massage services can help rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul. This very friendly staff team will give a relaxing body massage Toronto with the utmost commitment and dedication.

How to deal with PCOS when trying to Get Pregnant

Friday, February 12th, 2010

One of the leading causes of infertility and conception problems in women is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS. The over production of insulin is a major reason why PCOS occurs. This problem induces in women a response whereby the body begins to produce male hormones and androgens to balance the oversupply of insulin. Naturally this affects the body in many different ways, one of which is infertility and so it can be very hard getting pregnant with PCOS.

There are also other effects which are a result of PCOS. Every woman will respond to PCOS in a different manner, and therefore the symptoms in each woman are not identical. There are some common symptoms such as type two diabetes, an increase in facial hair, hair on the back and chest accompanied by a loss of head hair; acne and pelvic pain among others. For many women these other symptoms become insignificant when compared with infertility.

PCOS disturbs the normal functioning of a menstrual cycle. During a normal cycle the ovaries will develop a number of follicles on them which contain the eggs. As the it gets closer to ovulation, only one follicle will develop and the egg that emerges from this follicle is the one released in ovulation. This process is a reaction to rising levels of LH, the hormone responsible for making the process start anew each month. This is a problem for women with PCOS, as their body doesn’t usually produce enough LH to trigger the process. What this means is that many of the follicles that usually mature into eggs, turn into cysts instead. These cysts are the ones which are visible when women get ultrasound testing. The resemblance of these cysts on the ovaries to a string of pearls has been noted by many. There is also the possibility of the menses being interrupted, or stopping altogether when a woman has PCOS.

Every woman with PCOS is not diagnosed with the condition. It is not fixed in stone that all women who have PCOS will not be able to conceive a child, on the contrary there are those who don’t have trouble getting pregnant with PCOS and can carry a baby to term. It is thought that of women of childbearing age, around 5 or 10 percent suffer from PCOS.

What are the things which can help those who suffer from PCOS? Loosing excess weight can help to rectify hormonal imbalances, and some women have found that this is enough to mange their PCOS. For women without a weight issues, there are medical drugs for PCOS, but rushing into a treatment with harsh drugs is unnecessary and unadvisable when there are numerous natural remedies and tonics which can effectively help with PCOS. There are so many drugs available these days, which are given like ‘miracle pills’ that are dolled out for whatever condition we have. Lots of these drugs are simple tested for short-term side effects, without any studies made of their long term effects, or the effects on the next generation. These drugs are still available, even though there is mounting evidence that they are linked to cancer.

A dear friend of mine, Candy (for the purposes of this article) had PCOS in childhood. Candy had PCOS without knowing it, and was only diagnosed when she was 17 and requested some tests from her doctor. She was most concerned that the condition would stop her from having children in later life, as her period had always been irregular. The tests she got back showed that she had a very severe case of PCOS. She went to see a specialist to see if she could cure the PCOS and if it would stop her having a baby later on. The specialist didn’t seem to think it was a huge problem, as ‘we can just give you drugs to help conceive’ even though the drugs they administer are the cause of multiple births and other pregnancy complications in thousands of women each year. Well Candy was quite shocked, and never wanted to go back to the ‘drug’ doctor.

It may be valuable to know that Candy had some other tests done, to ascertain the state of her body internally, and after including a whole heap more fresh fruit and vegetables (organic of course) in her diet she found that the PCOS had gone. Her chances of a pregnancy when the time arrived were just fine.

The problems getting pregnant with PCOS and even the condition itself can be testament to an internal system out of balance, where the body simple cannot sustain a growing baby. By looking at the body’s health and balance and finding natural solutions you can achieve your dream of a healthy happy baby and a natural pregnancy.

The Best Time to Conceive

Friday, February 12th, 2010

Knowing the best time to conceive is about knowing when the fertile time in a woman’s cycle is, but this is a somewhat complex thing to understand. Firstly when an egg is released it will only live a short time, a maximum of 24 hours and if two eggs are released in one ovulation cycle then that means only around two fertile days in a month. From the man’s side his sperm can survive inside for around five days so coupled with the woman this means around a week of fertility in a month. The best indication of a woman’s fertile time is the presence of fertile cervical fluid (eggwhite consistency) up until ovulation is over – which may be a couple of days, or may be only one.

Many women think they may have gotten pregnant during a menstrual period, which is an essentially impossible thing to do. In rare cases a woman may get pregnant from intercourse she had in the last days of a period. If a woman’s cycle is very short, then it is possible for the sperm to live long enough to fertilise an egg when intercourse was had during the end of menstruations. It is important to note that many women mistakenly think that blood spotting during their ovulation is a menstrual period and get pregnant at this time. This is a reminder of how important it is to really know and understand you cycle and the functioning of your body.

The common method provided by doctors for finding the best time to conceive is by measuring the basal body temperature. Unfortunately there is little attention given to cervical fluid, which is one of the most accurate indicators of fertility that the body produces. Moreover using the basal method for fertile timings can actually impede efforts at conception, because by the time a change in temperature is record it’s too late and the egg has died. That is not to say that tracking basal temperature is useless, it if just not the right tool for finding the fertile window.

The best way to get in touch with your fertile times is to start charting changes in your cervical fluid. There is cervical mucus which resembles eggwhites, and this is what you are looking for as an indication of your fertile time. The eggwhite fluid tells you that you are ovulating, but some women have trouble determining what to look for, so another indicator is the wettest type of fluid, of a wet sensation. The best time to conceive is the last day that there is the eggwhite mucus present.

If the man has a normal sperm count then couples should have intercourse daily when the wet eggwhite fluid is present and should continue until the fertile window is closed (indicated by a rise in basal temperature). Men with low sperm counts must only have sex every second day during this time, and stop on the morning the basal temperature rises.

Because the qualities (colour, consistency, volume) of the cervical mucus can vary greatly over the month, it is important that you know what to look for. Keeping a record of these changes can greatly increase your chances of a successful conception.

It goes without saying that ovulation is the best time to conceive – and ovulation is the time of month with the most cervical fluid. The mucus that comes with ovulation (as noted already) is eggwhite mucus which is very fertile stuff, and prime baby making material!

If you want to know where you are in your cycle, then it is important to start taking notice, and recording the changes in your cervical mucus. Over a couple of months you will get a very good idea of the time you ovulate, and unlike with basal temperature methods, this way there will be enough time to actually take advantage of the fertile window.

Trying to Get Pregnant After a Miscarriage

Friday, February 12th, 2010

It can be a daunting thing to think about getting pregnant after miscarriage because of the fear of a second recurrence. Medically referred to as ’spontaneous abortion’ a miscarriage is the loss of a pregnancy before about twenty weeks growth. Statistics from the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, miscarriages will happen in around 25 percent of all known pregnancies. This rate will most likely be higher in actuality because miscarriages can happen before a woman is even aware she is pregnant.

The reasons behind miscarriage are not yet fully understood. In general miscarriages in the first trimester are attributed to the presence of chromosomal abnormalities in the foetus (which are randomly occurring).

Of course the state of the mother’s health also plays a part. Medical conditions like un-tended diabetes or structural problems in the woman’s uterus which result in an improper egg implantation can affect a miscarriage, as can a number of autoimmune conditions in the mother. There are also lifestyle factors, like smoking or drug abuse by the mother which can increase the chances of miscarrying. Aside from this, there are also miscarriages which occur simply because the egg was improperly implanted into the lining of the uterus – the good news is that this can be all but eradicated by having intercourse at the right times of the month, but more about that later.

Vaginal Bleeding and other fluids and tissue being expelled from the vagina, pelvic and abdominal cramps and pain are all signs that may precede a miscarriage. Many women experience some blood spotting during early pregnancy, so although bleeding precedes a miscarriage, it is not always the case that when there is some blood you are miscarrying.

Commonly miscarriages in the early days of pregnancy don’t need medical treatment as the uterus empties itself of its own accord, much like a heavy period. If there is tissue that remains in the uterus (which shows up on an ultrasound) then a procedure to cleanse the uterus, or medication to make the uterus expel the remaining tissue may be required. It is important that no tissue remains in the uterus in order to stop any infection forming. It is normally recommended that couples don’t try getting pregnant after miscarriage for a number of months. If recurring miscarriages are a problem, then there are tests that can be done to see if they can determine the cause.

Before having any of these sometimes painful tests, it is important that you rule out a major cause of early miscarriage which is due to improper implantation of the egg into the lining of the uterus. The problem can be lowered significantly by having intercourse at the right time in the month.

The indication of this time is the presence of an ‘eggwhite’ like cervical mucus in the woman, which is the sign of her fertile time in the month. The best time to have intercourse (given the man’s sperm count is normal) is every day that the eggwhite cervical fluid is present – up until there is a rise in the basal body temperature of the woman. If there is a problem with sperm count, then it is important that intercourse is only undertaken every second day of the fertile cervical fluid up until a rise in temperature is noted. By having sex during this fertile period, the chances of conceiving are higher, and it is more likely that the egg will be properly implanted into the uterus’ lining, thus lowering the chances of miscarriage.

It is also crucial to be healthy before trying to conceive. So this means taking care of your diet, making sure you partake in regular exercise and keeping weight within a healthy range. It is also important not to smoke, and try to limit time spent around second-hand smoke. Alcohol is a big no-no and caffeine is on the cut list too. Also be aware of external toxins that you may be exposed to – so no painting the house unless with ‘green’ paints and the same goes for carpets, which can often be full of formaldehyde. For couples who are looking at getting pregnant after miscarriage, it is important that you deal with any emotional and stress issues and look at lifestyle factors which may have contributed – and when trying, always have intercourse at the fertile time of month to avoid any repeated miscarriage.

Problem Getting Pregnant?

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

As a couple with a problem getting pregnant, it is of the utmost importance that you fully understand what it takes to achieve a conception.

During ovulation, when the egg comes out of the ovarian wall it will normally be taken into the fallopian tube. Within seconds, the fimbria (the end of the fallopian tube) will snatch the egg up and draw it inside the tube. If an egg remains unfertilised it can live for up to twenty four hours, and after dying it will be absorbed by the body or it will disintegrate and come out with the menses. To put things in scale, the egg is about as big as the punctuation mark at the end of this sentence.

When an ovum is fertilised, this usually takes place within a short time after ovulation occurs, and will actually be done in the fallopian tube. Contrary to popular belief, fertilisation does not take place in the uterus. It can take even a couple of hours for the sperm to reach the egg in the fallopian tubes. There are cilia, or tiny hairs which line the fallopian tube, and when an egg has been fertilised, these vibrate and draw the egg further inside. It will take as much as a weeks time for the egg to finally get to the uterus and to start to burrow into the lining.

If you are experiencing a problem getting pregnant then you need to remember that there are three things that make a pregnancy happen, not just the sperm and egg – the third ingredient is a safe medium for them both to travel is, as without this conduit the vagina is a very hostile environment for the little sperms to tackle.

The aforementioned medium is the cervical mucus that resembles eggwhites, which is a special fertile-fluid. It is this cervical fluid which will allows the sperm to travel to the cervix in safety and unite with the waiting egg. This special fertile-quality cervical fluid is produced under the increasing levels of oestrogen during the first part of the menstrual cycle, with the optimum being produced during ovulation. In this type of cervical fluid, sperm can survive inside for up to five days – so it is entirely possible to have intercourse at the beginning of the week, and not become pregnant till the end of the week!

The normal turn of events for a menstrual cycle is that the lining of the uterus disintegrates and is passed in the menstrual flow, which would be a total disaster for a pregnant body, so the amazing and ingenious body starts to work immediately to stop this from happening. When an egg that has been fertilised digs into the uterus the body immediately starts to produce a pregnancy hormone (called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) ) which will stop the process of disintegration and save the nutritious lining. It does this by sending a message to the ‘corpus luteum’ or the nourishing lining, and tells it to remain alive. This will continue on for a couple of months, or until the placenta is ready to relieve the corpus luteum of its job, after which it is the placenta which keeps the lining alive, whilst also providing the nutrients and oxygen that the tiny foetus needs to grow.

False-negative pregnancy tests are usually received if the test has been done too soon, because the whole process can take a while, and the test is measuring HCG, so if it hasn’t been produced yet, the test will come back negative even if an egg is fertilised. When women chart their cycles, they are more likely to know when a pregnancy has occurred from the first point of implantation because of the notable changes in the cycle.

If a couple is having a problem getting pregnant, knowing the intricacies of what it takes to fertilise an egg can really help, especially as contrary to what every mum tells her teenage daughter, sometimes it actually isn’t that easy to get pregnant.

Tips for Trying to Conceive

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

Looking for great tips on how to conceive a baby naturally and easily? If this is the case there are a great many things that you can try. Having trouble conceiving can be quite troubling, but just remember that millions of couples world wide are in the same boat, so you are never alone. Keep reading this article, and by the end you will be aware of some great tips on how to conceive your baby quickly and naturally.

Low sperm counts are a major reason behind many couple’s fertility struggles. If you have yet to visit a doctor, but have been trying to conceive for a while it is advisable to see a doctor who can tell you if your sperm count is adequate. If the doctor says sperm is not the issue, then at least you know to cross it off the list. If the sperm count is not high enough don’t worry, because there are a bundle of things that can be done. Stopping caffeine intake is the first thing you (as the guy) should do and its also worthwhile to get a check up to see if there are any vital nutrients (like zinc) lacking in your body. A low sperm count can be the result of deficiencies in vital minerals and vitamins. Another sure thing to lower your sperm count is smoking, so if you’re a smoker, it’s the perfect time to quit.

There are certain position which can help the conception process. The missionary position is the position that is most likely to result in conception. This is because when the man is on top, the sperm get a helping hand from gravity. The next position to try is ‘doggy style’ because it is a position where the man enters very close to the cervix.

The woman should lay in bed for around twenty minutes or so after having sex. Feet in the air are not necessary, just staying flat in bed is important. For the woman it is also important not to go to the toilet for around have an hour after sex.

Finding your most fertile time in the cycle through the basal temperature method can actually really impede conception because normally when a rise in temperature is noted, the egg is well and truly dead by this time. Many people thing (even many physicians) that the keeping of basal temperature records will help determine your fertile ‘window’. This is totally incorrect! There are many uses for testing basal temperature, but using it for testing fertility is just a waste of time.

A very accurate way to determine your most fertile time, and one of the fastest tips on how to conceive is to check and chart changes in your cervical fluid. The last day of the type of cervical fluid that looks like eggwhites is when you are most fertile – if you can’t determine an eggwhite mucus, then look for the wettest type of fluid, or a wet sensation.

If you aren’t maintaining a healthy lifestyle by eating well and exercising, then your body will not be wanting to conceive. It is a crucial point to maintain a healthy diet with lots of fresh fruit and veggies along with regular exercise. The last thing your body will want is another life to sustain if you are not even maintaining your own, so it is crucial not to neglect your diet and nutrient intake as many couples tend to do.

Starting with taking notice of the changes in cervical mucus is a great way to determine where you are in the monthly cycle. Doing this for a couple of months will help you get a very accurate idea of when you are ovulating, and to be able to see the signs before ovulations, and thus know when the best time to try for a baby is.

Natural Ways to Increase Fertility in Women

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

Finding becoming pregnant difficult? If this is the case there are simple steps to take that can improve your chances because the way we live our lives has a huge impact on our bodies – and this applies to both men and women, after all the natural ways to increase fertility are those preferred by most.

Alcohol can seriously decrease the chance of successful pregnancy. There have been studies that have shown a correlation between miscarriage and alcohol consumption in early pregnancy, especially the first weeks of the first trimester.

Nutrition is an important factor in fertility treatment. Giving your body the proper levels of nourishment will mean that it has all it needs to function properly, and is of course the most simple and natural ways to increase fertility naturally! The reserve of nutrients that is vital for complete functioning of the reproductive hormone system is lowered with bad eating habit and poor diet.

Good digestion, what kinds of foods you eat and your level of nutrients are all part of the puzzle for fertility and gaining a proper hormonal balance. A shortage of antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamins and minerals like magnesium, zinc and vitamins A and B6 may lead to a blockage of hormone production and a reduction of your chances of falling pregnant.

How does treating infertility with traditional medicine and acupuncture sound to you? If you are among the people who have unexplained infertility then you may be a good candidate for giving medical acupuncture a go, as acupuncture can help to raise the readiness of the body for conception by balancing out its energies. If it is a physical problem causing fertility problems in wither the man or the woman, acupuncture can be a great complementary practice to an other medical treatments.

When properly done, acupuncture helps to redress the complex hormonal and physical imbalances that are often the underlying cause of lowered fertility rates.

Stress has a lot to do with infertility. Stress can lead women to have irregular and infertile ovulation cycles because of an over-production of the reproductive hormone prolactin when a woman is stressed out. In times of stress both the luteinizing hormone and the follicle stimulating hormone are not released because the hypothalamus stops secreting the essential hormone gonadotrophin. These hormones are all essential for stimulating ovulation cycles, so of course fertility is the first casualty of stress.

Taking charge of your stress levels can be helped by doing deep breathing practices, doing regular light exercise and even hypnotherapy and visualization can help – the following can be used for a combined stress-reduction plan:

Using holistic therapies often work so well as natural ways to increase fertility simply because conception and fertility are actually not just affected by the reproductive system, but by the health of the body as a whole. It may be that awareness about fertility and the way lifestyle can affect it are what is needed to fall pregnant, or it may be a need for reducing stress and learning to relax with massage or acupuncture, or nutritional awareness and supplements may be the key.

Conceiving if you are a woman who smokes very often takes longer and comes with an increased risk of miscarriage as well as lower levels of progesterone and oestrogen. For males, smoking results in immotile sperm, decreased sperm density coupled with an increase in abnormal sperm as well as reduced levels of testosterone. These risks increase proportionally to the amount of cigarettes a man or woman consumes.

Hypnotherapy can have many health benefits and can be a great natural way to increase your chances of conception.

By teaching patients to let go of stress and blockages they are holding onto, hypnotherapists have had great success, especially with couples suffering from unexplained infertility. Fertility issues can arise from holding stress or having emotional blockages which can be let go with the help of hypnotherapy. Emotional issues that are not dealt with can interfere with conception and hypnotherapy can be a great way to identify and resolve these issues.

Hypnotherapy can also help gain hormonal balance in the body by reducing stress and dealing with unconscious fears and anxieties. This is usually when there is too much prolactin in the system inhibiting ovulation.

Women can also learn to be relaxed and calm during the birthing process with the use of hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy can help make the birth more calm and comfortable for women by teaching them relaxation and breathing techniques to utilise in the birthing process.

Know the Best Time to Conceive

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

It is very often the case that when a couple is told they have unexplained infertility they really should be told that they need to learn some more about conception, and not listen to everything the doctors say. To put is plainly, many doctors will give the title of ‘infertile’ simply if a couple hasn’t conceived after one year, when all it can take is asking the question ‘when is the best time to get pregnant’ and finding the answer with a better understanding of the function of our own cervical fluid.

It’s pretty standard for doctors to focus on basal body temperate and overlook the significance of changes in cervical fluid. The changes in cervical fluid are critical for determining when is the best time to get pregnant. For many couples out there doctors are regrettably still advising that sexual relations be timed around changes in temperature. If you have been told that checking basal body temperature is actually a post-indication of ovulation and fertility, then at least that is half the story – however most doctors will still tell you to check your past cycles for a predictive indication of future fertile times. Couples are being misinformed by both prescribed methods!

The truth is that recording basal temperature to determine when is the best time to get pregnant can actually make it harder, because normally by the time a rise in temperature is recorded, the egg is already dead.

Tracking changes in temperature is of course a part of the conception puzzle, but the emphasis the medical profession gives it as a sign of fertility is misleading. There are many useful things to be gleaned from recording basal body temperature, such as your ovulation cycle length (important for knowing if an egg can be successfully implanted in the uterus) or if you are ovulating properly or not – even for determining if a conception has taken place. Be this as it may, basal temperature is not a good determinant of optimum fertility periods. The best way for determining fertile times is to check cervical fluid, and start charting that instead! The ‘eggwhite’ cervical fluid, or the wettest type of fluid and vaginal sensation is the indicator for the most fertile period.

Looking at changes in cervical fluid can make conception easier. Before starting to chart the changes in cervical mucus, you need to know what it is you are looking for. Volume, colour and consistency are all important indicators in cervical mucus, and these can alter considerably throughout the menstrual cycle. Couples can find the best time for conception if the woman understands and tracks these changes.

Directly after the menses have finished, there is usually not much cervical fluid produced. There is little or no cervical fluid produced for the first couple of days (sometimes as long as a week) following a period. The chances of conceiving depend largely on the presence of cervical mucus, so no mucus, no pregnancy. The stage after this one, and preceding ovulation is one where there is a sticky consistency to the cervical mucus and it is a cloudy or white colour. This time is also one of lesser quantities of mucus. A couple of days prior to ovulation the cervical mucus changes to a moist, sticky consistency like a lotion or hand cream. White or creamy is the usual colour for the cervical mucus at this stage.

The best conception time is ovulation. Ovulation is of course the time when you will have the most cervical fluid. During ovulation the cervical mucus takes on the colour and consistency of an eggwhite which is why this time is called the time of ‘eggwhite cervical mucus’. During this time of ovulation it is the best period to try for a baby.

Using the changes in your cervical mucus as a guide, you can determine the exact stages of your menstrual cycle. By observing the changes in your cervical fluids over a number of months it becomes easier to pinpoint exact ovulation times, and thus to pinpoint the perfect time each month for conception.

Small Town Brawl!

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

It was a quite day in a small Bar in upstate New York . The girl working behind the bar was young, she had just turned twenty one and had only been bar tending a few weeks, this was her first time working alone. Everything was going fine with only two of the regulars in the back shooting pool it was nothing she could not handle she thought to herself.

Then the front door opened and in walked ten of the biggest men she had ever seen. They talked loudly and as they walked over to the far side of the bar, She got a look at the back of their jackets. She could easily see that the markings on them where all the same. The men ordered pitchers of beer and their talking only got louder as they drank more and talked about things she did not understand. Then the men went quite as the front door opened and in walked seven more large men, at first she thought these seven men where with the first Ten as they looked and dressed similar but as she looked at the markings on the backs of these new comers Jackets she could tell while they where similar the markings where different, By the way the two groups where looking at each other she guessed the difference must mean a lot to them.

The Seven men sat up toward the front of the bar and also ordered pitchers of beer. The young girl did her best to make sure both groups where kept happy, but it was just a matter of time and Beer! When one of the men from the first group called out to her, “Hey Honey don’t worry about those guys, there losers! Come over here and hang with some real men.” That was all it took, the fuse was lit. “Who you calling losers pal we are good enough to beat you any day of the week!” Yelled back a guy from the second group. “You may think your as good as us but you never will be!” Yelled back a man from the first group.

Then in what was a blur to our young barmaid a fight broke out between the two groups it was loud and she could hear glass and wood breaking all around her as the men cursed and screamed at each other. This young Girl was scared and she feared for her life.

Her fear abated a little when in the distance she heard sirens. The police are coming, she thought to herself as she hid behind the bar. The police arrived in force and they stormed in arresting the men and taking them away. When things got quite and all the men where taken away the young girl looked around the small bar. So much damage she thought to herself, She looked at one of the officers and asked how did you know to come here. We got a call that these two groups where both heading to this bar and we just knew, it happens all the time with these type of guys!!!

Epilogue: The next morning when the young barmaid awoke she walked down stairs to the kitchen where her father was reading the morning paper. Does it say anything about the fight in the bar yesterday she asked her father? Yes he said as he pointed to a small article in the back of the paper “Yankees and Mets fans Brawl it out in small town bar” the story went on to explain how all the men where given tickets for disorderly conduct and released. That’s it she screamed at her father these men trash the bar, scare the hell out of me, They should all be in jail and all they get is Tickets!!! Calm down sweetheart her father said as he hugged her, The way your acting one would think it had been a bunch of rowdy Bikers in the bar yesterday! Those Guys would have been locked away, But it was only Sports fans!
